Eighty seven (87) Km north of Isiolo town, deep in the heart of the Waso ecosystem and nestled on the banks of the mighty Ewaso Ng’iro River is Camp Simpirre Retreat and Culture Educational Centre contact us.


What we Offer

We have fifty permanent tents, single cottages (sharing external bathroom facilities) self-contained cottages (bedroom/shower units), and spacious traditional Boran huts with self-contained own compounds that collectively accommodate a total of 75 guests

The Camp offers excellent conference facilities within a rural setting free from the burdens of urban life. We have solar powered public address systems, projectors for meetings, spacious facilities for conferences, banquets, receptions & weddings for 500+ people

Perched on the river bank and providing a spectacular view of the gorgeous Gotu Waterfalls on Ewaso Ng’iro River is our riverside lounge from where you can enjoy views of basking crocodiles, our resident African fish eagle perched atop trees as it scans for fish, grey heron hunting and herbivores grazing down below as you sip your sundowner

Simpirre is an Oromo name meaning “Bird” and we are blessed with an abundant species here where our guests can enjoy bird viewing. Amongst common species of birds found here includes the fish eagle, vultures, starlings, spurfowls, guineafowls, hornbills, hawks, falcons, owls, swallows, swifts, kingfishers, woodpeckers, egrets, herons and ostriches
